Termessos

The sacred city of Termessos is perched on the top of Mount Solimos (1665m), and is surrounded by the beautiful Güllük Dağı National Park. Its fortifications, monumental buildings and cemeteries are immersed in an old forest, giving the city an otherworldly appearance. Many of the structures are so well-preserved that visitors can imagine how the now-deserted streets would have been bustling with people and life, during the height of the city’s glory. The moss-covered stone tombs and the theatre dominating the valley below are among the most impressive memories of Termessos.
