Melli

Melli is the old name of the region which is the centre of Kocaaliler town in Burdur province. The name of the ancient site located here, which includes well-preserved monuments, is still unknown. Although some have claimed that this could be the Milyas mentioned in ancient sources, and the road signs leading people to the site bear its name (though misspelled as Milyos), the archaeological surveys have not come up with any evidence to support the claim. With its dense vegetation, breath-taking view and archaeological remains such as the open air sanctuary, this unnamed ancient site of Melli bears all the architectural characteristics of a small Pisidian city.
